This week has been a roller coaster ride...

Monday wasn't too bad.  Mostly boring.  I did the usual wake up, watch TLC, find something to eat, then continue to watch TLC kind of thing.  I did however add a fun twist to my day.  I took a shower and went to the furniture store to meet Katie.  We ate some lunch and talked with Laura for awhile.  Afterwards, we went to Wal*Mart to do some grocery shopping.  We then parted ways and I went back to my routine of watching TLC and waiting for Patrick to get off work.  However, the night guy at the mill called in sick, so Patrick had to stay late.  He didn't end up leaving work until 2 a.m.  Poor guy.  Boo. :(  So, I did my homework and went to bed.

Tuesday was a lot different.  I was sleeping at 6:30 a.m., like any normal person, and the phone started ringing.  I was very groggy so it took a minute for me to realize that the phone was actually ringing.  When I answered it the person asked for me and my Mom responded, "Hold on."  I stated that I was on the phone.  It was the secretary from the high school asking if I would like to substitute that day.  I gladly accepted, anything to get out of the house!! :)  I got to substitute teach for a kindergarten class!! They were adorable, well most of them.  The first hour was a little rough because the teacher couldn't get her lesson plan to go through on her e-mail.  After an hour it finally went through and I was able to salvage the day.  So, it went pretty well for being a last minute call.  After school I came home and took a nap.  When I woke up I watched some TLC and waited for Patrick to get off work.  Again the night guy was sick, but this time Patrick only had to stay until 9 p.m.  While I was waiting for Patrick the phone rang.  It was the high school secretary again.  She had 5 more subbing jobs available for me, SWEET!!  After Patrick showered he drove to my house and then we went to town to do some shopping.  No, not the fun shopping. :/  We got some groceries for the meal that we were going to cook on Wednesday and some toiletries.  We then got some dinner at Wendy's.  When we got back to my house we just watched some t.v. and cuddled, aw. :)  He left around 11:30 because he had to get up around 7 the next morning to go back to work.

On Wednesday I called Patrick to make sure that he was up and then I went back to sleep for 2 hours.  I only had to do a half day of subbing so when I woke up I put a load of laundry in, ate lunch, switched the laundry, took a shower, and then headed to go sub for an elementary school music class.  It wasn't bad at all.  The teacher had a very organized lesson plan and all the materials were right there on his desk.  When I left the building I had two voicemails, one from my cousin and one from Mom.  Mom's was about brake pads for the van, very boring stuff.  My cousin wanted to know if she could borrow Patrick's camera charger.  So, I called her back and we arranged to meet at 7:30 that evening.  After school I came home and took another nap, I love naps! :)  When I woke up I started to make dinner.  I also made some noodles that go very well with the sauce.  When I had all of the prep work done I went to meet my cousin.  On my way home Patrick told me that he was on his way over.  When he walked in the door he had to wait a few minutes for the kabobs to get done.  ( I decided to broil them in the oven instead, because standing outside grilling didn't really appeal to me.)  It was tough for Patrick to wait because he was starving, he worked a 12 1/2 hour day.  The meal was delicious.  We watched our show with Mom, Numbers.  Afterwards we cuddle some more, aw. :)  Then, we said our goodbyes around 11:30 again.

Today, I woke up at 7 and called Patrick to make sure that he was up too.  Today I had to substitute for the same teacher as yesterday, but it was all day.  He starts his day out at the middle school in the band room.  At 9:30 a.m. I got to leave and went to the elementary school for the rest of the day.  Band wasn't too bad.  The kids were overall pretty well behaved, for middle schoolers.  Music class was pretty fun.  Elementary school kids are way better than middle schoolers.  I'm starting to get used to working at the elementary school.  Kids and teachers will wave to me and say hi because they know me, it's pretty cool. :)  After school today I came home and.... NOPE I didn't nap.  I actually started some laundry, did the dishes, and took out the recycling.  I also decided that I'm probably going to kill my brother tonight.  Last night he was acting like a total jerk.  He's a big bad senior this year, so he's very cocky and annoying.  He was saying things like, "When I'm 21 I won't be living here anymore" and "Why don't you get a job?"  He was just being downright rude to everyone in the house.  I can't wait for karma to come back around and bite him in the a$$.  Today when I got home I found him lounging on the couch.  Then when I started doing the dishes he came into the kitchen, I thought maybe he'd offer to help.  Nope.  Instead he decides to dirty some more dishes.  I mean, what does he care?  He hasn't done a load of laundry or dishes for a month now.  Then, he opens some mail that's addressed to him.  In one envelope he sees that his CD has matured and will be available for him to cash in the middle of February. So, he starts bragging about how much it is and how he'll go by himself a new laptop.  In the other envelope he finds a refund check from Ivy Tech.  Now, my Mom paid for our school and books this semester, so that money is actually hers. He wasn't going to tell her about it, he was just going to take it to the bank and cash it for himself.  I called Mom to let her know that she had a check waiting for her at home.  He proceeded to call me a tattle tail and said that if I would have kept my mouth shut I could have gotten half of it.  So, between him being a lazy good-for-nothing piece of crap and his cockiness I've about had it with him.  If I had the money and a steady job, I would move out in a heartbeat.

So this is where I'm at in life.  Now I think I'm going to go fold some laundry and do a little bit of homework.  Peace out, girl scout.

Church Ski Trip

Oh man, what a long weekend!! :/

On Friday I had to run to Ivy Tech to figure out my class schedule.  Of course I had to drop the two classes that got cancelled, but I picked them back up as online classes.  Which leaves me with 3 online classes and 1 classroom class for the semester.  Hopefully I'll do well in them, I'm a little nervous about the online classes.  After I did that I went to church to meet the youth group for the ski trip.  We left around 4:30 and got to our cabins in Michigan around 9:30.  Some of us stayed up until 1:30 playing games and talking.

The next morning we woke up around 7:30 to eat breakfast and to get ready for a day of skiing.  We got to the slopes at 10 and stayed until 8:30.  Everyone had a BLAST!!  I have been skiing a couple of times prior to this trip, but it's been at least 3 years.  I fell a few times at the beginning but then I got my mojo back and didn't fall for the rest of the day.  Only 3 of the kids weren't interested in night skiing and wanted to go back to the cabins, so I had to stay too.  Man, it stinks being a chaperone. :(  No, night skiing was fun, so I didn't mind.  After we got back to our cabins, that's when I started feeling the pain.  It started as pain in my calves, but that's obvious because the boots hold your legs in an awkward position.  When I was sitting on my bed I noticed pain in my shoulders, neck, arms, well basically in the rest of my body.  So, I took a nice hot shower and then promptly went to bed.

We woke up the next morning at 7:30 and everyone was in pain.  Kady and I packed our bags and finally managed to drag our feet to breakfast.  It was alright, nothing special.  After breakfast we had a short church service where we sang. :) Hooray singing!!  We all packed up the cars and headed home.  We got home around 3:45.  I was so exhausted and sore that I slept from 4 until 8 this morning.

Today Frankie and I went to Lafayette to sell back my books and he got his I.D.  And now I am just trying to get stuff for school.  My first class is tonight at 5:30 and hopefully it won't be that boring.  It's just a class about Microsoft Office... *yawn*

Wow... um my life sucks

So this last week of Christmas Break has kind of, well, sucked.

I was hoping that since the Twin Lakes School Corporation was back in session I would be getting some more calls for substituting, but no.  So, I've just been sitting here in my bed doing nothing.  I mean sure, occasionally I'll get up and scrounge around for something to eat and maybe take a shower.  Other than that I just sit here watching whatever I can find on the t.v.

Yesterday Mom got off work at 12, so we went to Lafayette to pay for classes, sell back books, and buy books for this semester.  Kind of boring, but productive.  After Lafayette I went to Monical's to see my BESTEST and get a pizza, I was starving!!  Then, I went home to do what I do... watch t.v. and wait for Patrick to come see me.  He finally got to my house around 8:45 and then we went to Taco Bell to meet Katie and Bobby.  We had a nice little meal and Patrick and I went back to his house.  I watched him play some video games and fell asleep, whoops.  He drove me home later.

This morning I did more of the same; watched t.v., ate, showered, etc.  After I got done showering I went to Monon to drop off my application for subbing in the North White School Corporation.  Then, I went to The Whistle Stop restaurant and picked up some food to take to Patrick.  We talked for a little, while he ate, and then he had to get back to work.  So, as I'm driving home, I was listening to my mp3 player on my phone, because for some reason my radio is broken.  Anyway, the song gets interrupted by a beep and I pick up my phone to see that I have a new voicemail.  So, I listen to the voicemail and two of my four classes for this semester (which starts in 4 days) have been cancelled. Seriously!?  I was only taking 12 credit hours, so now I have to find two more classes that I can take.  And I really wasn't planning on taking any in Lafayette this semester.  So, I guess I pick those two classes back up as online classes?  I mean seriously I JUST bought my books and paid for classes.  Why would they do that?

So now here I am, trying to think of my options and I'm trying not to freak out.

I was tagged, well kind of...

This award/game is called Honest Scrap.  So, what does this award mean?  It means - "leftovers, fragments, discarded material, and many times truth and honesty is discarded material, considered fragments and left over."  We tell it like it is and let the scraps fall where they may.

The rules of this lovely award/game of tag is as follows...
A) You must write 10 honest things about yourself that are interesting (of course, right?)
B) Pass the award along to 7 other bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of Honest Scrap.

Let's see here, 10 interesting things about me... ha ha. Ok, I'll try my best not to bore *all of you*

1) My family means the world to me!  I'm not always showing it, but it's true.  They have always been there for me and have been right there behind me, cheering me on.  I really appreciate them and love them with all of my heart!!

2) I wish I was closer to my older brother.  We're 8 years apart, so we were never really close when we were growing up.  I thought as we got older we could get closer, but he moved to Arizona.  So, now I'm afraid that will never happen.

3) As I get older I realize that I don't have as many friends as I thought.  Just a bunch of acquaintances.  Luckily, I do have a handful of GREAT friends whom I wouldn't trade for anything!

4) I'm a people pleaser.  And that's not good, because I forget about me.  Sometimes my life gets so off course because I worry about others too much.

5) I love entertaining my friends and making sure that they are comfortable.  I can't wait to have my own house so that I can have dinner parties.  I think that because I love entertaining so much, this is the reason that I want to be in the Hospitality field.

6) I've always said that when I grow up I'm going to move to one of the Carolinas.  Now that I've grown closer to my family and Patrick's family, I'm not so sure.  We'll see...

7) I'm so over school.  In fact, sometimes I just don't want to do schoolwork anymore and that's bad.  If I don't do the schoolwork then I can't graduate.

8) I'm ready to graduate, get a job, and get the heck out of my parent's house.  I'm getting restless and just want to take another step in making my own life.

9) Sometimes Patrick and I have disagreements and we fight.  Most times it's because I make a big deal out of little things.  To me they don't seem like little things, I wish he was more sensitive or something.  I'm sure all women wish that about their men.  And honestly what couple doesn't have little disagreements?

10) Even though Patrick and I have disagreements and fight, I still love him VERY MUCH!!  I can't imagine my life without him.  I miss him all the time, even if he's just walked out of my house.  He's grumpy sometimes, but he's still WONDERFUL!!

I'm tagging... Laura, Colin, Amber & Michael, and Ashley (I don't think any of them will do it though.)
